Argentina midfielder Rodrigo De Paul commented on Lionel Messi's appearance in the 2026 World Cup qualifier against Paraguay (1-0).

"We always miss him, we always want him in the squad. I hope he plays in the next match because everything always gets better with him. It's a pleasure for me to look back and see Messi on the pitch," De Paul was quoted as saying by TyC Sports.

The next opponent of the Argentines will be the Peruvian national team. The match will take place on 18 October in Lima.
