England midfielder Jordan Henderson has justified his move to Saudi Arabian side Al Ittifaq.
The 33-year-old was subjected to obstruction by English fans during a friendly game against Australia. Earlier, there was a lot of criticism on social media against Henderson for betraying his interests and leaving for Saudi Arabia on a £700,000-a-week salary.
"No, I'm not surprised by the criticism against me, because I understand the reasons for what is being said. Of course, I have a different point of view on this. I understand this and take it in stride. But I continue to say that this will not change the person I am. I'm playing in another country, Saudi Arabia, where I want to try to improve my game on the pitch and also some things off the pitch. That's all I'm going to continue to do," The Telegraph quoted Henderson as saying.
