Former Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Admir Mehmedi, who recently announced the end of his career, recalled a key moment on his path in professional football.
"I don't think there is a perfect coach. But Christian Streich gave me at Freiuburg the most decisive push in my career.
I came to this club (in 2013 - ed.) when I was having a hard time after a year and a half at Dynamo Kyiv. But Streich managed to open my eyes both morally and professionally. He showed me what a new path for me in football could be. And it really was the most key turn in my career, for which I am very grateful to Christian," Mehmedi said in an interview with Kicker.
We would like to add that now the former Dynamo man is studying on coaching courses. At the same time, Mehmedi admitted that in the future he sees himself as a football functionary rather than a coach. "So far I don't know exactly what path I will take," the ex-footballer adds.
