The final minutes of the match were marked by a series of yellow cards, with Atletico player R. Riquelme in the 87th minute and then M. Rodriguez in the 88th minute. Overall, Atletico Madrid showed a great game, utilising their numerical advantage and securing a confident 3-0 victory over Celta Vigo. The match demonstrated the team's cohesion, their ability to achieve their goals and control the game despite the opponent's best efforts. As a result, Atletico Madrid further strengthened their position among the main contenders for victory in La Liga.
