"Manchester United pondering David de Gea's return

Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea may resume his career at Manchester United, The Sun reports.

At the end of last season, the Red Devils withdrew their offer of a new contract to the 32-year-old, which led to the goalkeeper leaving Old Trafford as a free agent.

MU's new number one Andre Onana plans to take part in the Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Côte d'Ivoire from 13 January to 11 February 2024.

Thus, Onana will miss up to eight United matches because of the Africa Cup of Nations, which may force the club's management to turn to de Gea's services and sign a short-term contract with him.
