Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali may play in the Premier League match against Wolverhampton in the 10th round of the EPL despite serving a 10-month suspension.
On Thursday, the Italian Football Federation suspended the 23-year-old until the end of August 2024 for violating the ban on football betting. According to the BBC, Tonali's suspension has not yet been confirmed by UEFA and FIFA, and therefore does not apply to English competitions.
"Yes, I think there is a good chance he will be available for us again. I think there are a few things that have to happen before the suspension takes effect, so let's see," said Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe at the pre-match press conference.
