Berardi received a yellow card as both teams desperately tried to snatch victory. However, neither team could break the deadlock until the final whistle, resulting in a hard-fought 1-1 draw. The match between Sassuolo and Bologna showed all the spice of Serie A football, with both teams demonstrating great skill and determination. As a result of the draw both teams got a point each, which emphasises the unpredictability of the league and ensures constant interest of the fans.
