Former England striker Michael Owen believes that Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane should have stayed at Tottenham.

If he was so desperate to go and win trophies, he could have easily taken matters into his own hands by leaving at the end of the season as a free agent. If Tottenham miraculously started playing like a championship contender, he could always stay, but his fate would be in his hands anyway. And then he could go wherever he wanted, approaching the Premier League goalscoring record and creating the perfect legacy at the club he spent his entire life at.
Of course, Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world, but I don't think there's anything really special about securing the Bundesliga trophy. "Bayern are going to win the league with or without Kane, so I don't think that was a good reason to leave," Owen was quoted as saying by Goal.
