Terrier came on the pitch in the 70th minute. Strasbourg also made their intentions clear by making two quick substitutions, bringing on M.S. Dion and L. Motiba. Strasbourg also made the last substitution: in the 86th minute, T. Delen came on the pitch instead of E. Sobol. Despite all the efforts of both teams in the remaining minutes, neither side could get the winning goal. The final whistle sounded and the match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Rennes and Strasbourg picking up one point each. This exciting encounter showed the fighting spirit and determination of both teams.
