This weekend the matches of the 13th round of the Ukrainian Premier League Championship among the Premier League clubs of the season-2023/24 take place. On Friday, 3 November, the tour programme will be opened by the match between Dynamo and Shakhtar Donetsk. The kick-off of the match, which will take place in Kyiv at the Dynamo stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskiy, is at 17:00.

Before today's meeting both Dynamo and Shakhtar are at the top of the standings of the current Ukrainian championship. Having played nine matches, the Kyivians have scored 16 points (five wins, one draw, three defeats) and now occupy the seventh place. The Donets are more successful: after ten matches they have 21 points (six wins, three draws, one defeat), which allows them to occupy the fourth place.
In the Ukrainian championship last season, the Pitmen were stronger in the face-to-face confrontation between Dynamo and Shakhtar. In the first round, the Pitmen defeated the Kyivians 3-1, and the replay ended in a 1-1 draw
Last round, Dynamo made peace with Kolos Kovalivka 1-1 (Oleksandr Tymchyk scored for the Kyivians), while Shakhtar's game with Chornomorets Odessa was postponed.
It should be noted that in the upcoming game Dynamo will have to do without their main striker Vladislav Vanat (on the photo): in the above-mentioned meeting with Kolos he received a red card and today he will serve a disqualification.
Yaroslav Kozyk from Mukachevo (Zakarpattya region) has been appointed as the chief referee for the match Dynamo vs Shakhtar. Also, the VAR video assistant refereeing system will be used at the game under the control of Mykola Balakin from Kyiv region.
