Ihor Surkis, President of FC Dynamo Kyiv, commented on Mircea Lucescu's decision to resign as the team's head coach.
"Mircea Lucescu is a great coach who has achieved a lot in both Ukrainian and European football. I will not hide the fact that his decision to resign as head coach came as a surprise to us.
Lucescu has always enjoyed the respect and trust of our club, and I am sincerely grateful to Mister for his work at Dynamo Kyiv. There were victories and achievements on the path we travelled together, and Lucescu stayed with the club during this difficult time of war.
However, Dynamo is moving on. In the near future, we will announce who will lead the coaching staff of our team. The task I set for the team does not change - we must win the championship!
I wish Mircea Lucescu and his family health and well-being."
