The next day after the match, the players and administrative staff gathered at the training base in Vita Litovska, where club president Ihor Surkis thanked Mister, who was also present at the meeting and said goodbye to everyone, and introduced the team to a new coach. It is the long-time goalkeeper of the Bilo-Syni, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, who will prepare the team for the next matches in the Ukrainian championship as acting head coach.

"The head coach and his coaching staff are always responsible for the result, while you are responsible for the quality of your game ," Oleksandr addressed the players. - " And you have a certain level of play below which you have no right to fall and strive to improve it. Mr Lucescu invested his strength, knowledge and experience in you. And he achieved a lot in his life and career. So I want you to thank him once again for the work he has done."

After Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's speech, everyone gave Mircea Lucescu a standing ovation.

Ihor Surkis, the club's president, also spoke to the team and coaching staff. He thanked Mircea for his time with the team and stressed that the team still has the task of becoming the champion of Ukraine.

"I am very grateful to Mircea Lucescu for his work at Dynamo. It's not even about the fact that he led the team to the Champions League twice and won trophies, but about his professionalism, experience and steps to improve the club system. Lucescu not only achieved results, but also brought up many talented players - a number of Dynamo players in the Ukrainian national team went through the school of this coach. Mircea had full credit for our trust, we were ready to wait for him to build a new team that would fight for the championship and successfully play in European competitions. But it was his personal decision, so we had to accept this position of the head coach. Ihope that the experience he passed on to the players and the coaching staff will help us reach a new level ," said Igor Surkis.

Emil Karas, Oleg Gusev and Mikhail Mikhailov will join the coaching staff of Oleksandr Shovkovsky.

We remind you that Oleksandr Shovkovskyi was already acting as head coach when Mircea Lucescu had to undergo leg surgery at the end of last season and was on sick leave.
