Mircea Lucescu, who announced his resignation from the post of Dynamo head coach on 3 November after the defeat against Shakhtar (0:1) in the Ukrainian championship match, did not take this decision spontaneously.
According to the Romanian press, Lucescu decided that he would leave Dynamo after the match with Shakhtar more than a month ago. At the same time, the specialist expected to leave on a winning note, but his charges failed to provide the ex-sheff with a pleasing result.
Among the reasons: difficulties with transfers of strong players, which seems logical due to the active phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war. As a result, the club is now focused solely on its pupils.
We would like to remind you that Oleksandr Shovkovskiy became Dynamo's acting head coach after Lucescu's departure.
