Former Chelsea London coach Frank Lampard has revealed that Jude Bellingham almost became a Blues player when he was the club's coach during his first stint at Stamford Bridge.
Frank Lampard (photo: gettyimages.com)At the time, Bellingham was still a Birmingham City player and the club were demanding £20m for him. Chelsea's board of directors opposed the deal as Jude was only 16 years old at the time, Frank told the John Obi Mikel podcast.
We should add that Borussia Dortmund paid more than €30m for Jude the same year, and three years later he was sold to Real Madrid for €103m.
