Review of Crvena Zvezda vs RB Leipzig:
In an exciting match played at the legendary Rajko Mitic Stadium, FC Crvena Zvezda faced RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League. Despite their best efforts, Crvena Zvezda were defeated 0-1 at half-time and 1-2 in regulation time. At the start of the match, both teams showed their determination to get the win. However, RB Leipzig took the lead as early as the 8th minute when X. Simons crossed the ball into the box. Simons headed the ball into the net. Crvena Zvezda had several promising chances, but failed to equalise. As the tension mounted, players from both sides received yellow cards. In the 6th minute S. Mijailovic of Red Star received a yellow card. Then in the 28th minute J. Crasso received a yellow card. At the start of the second half Red Star made two substitutions to turn the game in their favour. S. Mijailovic replaced K. Nedeljkovic and J. Crasso replaced K. Ndiaye. The second half continued in a tense struggle: on 50 minutes RB Leipzig's M. Simakan received a yellow card, and on 52 minutes Crvena Zvezda's M. Ivanic received a yellow card. The referee's cards flew further: K. Lukeba and B. Henrichs of RB Leipzig also received yellow cards in the 56th and 59th minutes respectively.
In an attempt to change the course of the game, both teams made further substitutions. In the 69th minute, Red Star replaced M. Ivanic with P. Olainka, while RB Leipzig introduced K. Baumgartner instead of E. Forsberg and L. Klostermann instead of B. Sesko in the 70th minute. In the 77th minute RB Leipzig increased their lead when L. Openda scored a goal and the visitors began to control the game confidently. However, Red Star did not give up and fought back. In the 81st minute, an unfortunate goal by RB Leipzig's B. Henrichs breathed new life into Crvena Zvezda's chances. In the final minutes of the game, both teams made additional substitutions to strengthen their squads. RB Leipzig added A. Haidara and X. Schlager, replacing N. Seiwald and K. Kampl respectively. At Crvena Zvezda, M. Rodic came on in place of A. Kataja. In the 90th minute of the match, P. Olainka of Red Star received a yellow card. Despite their best efforts, Crvena Zvezda failed to equalise, and RB Leipzig came out victorious with the score 2-1. Both teams showed great skill and determination throughout the match, winning over the fans in the stadium and spectators around the world. Red Star may be disappointed with the result, but they can be proud that they were able to defeat such a formidable opponent as RB Leipzig.
