"Real Madrid officially announces extension of Valverde's contract

Real Madrid has announced on its official website that it has signed a new contract with midfielder Federico Valverde.

The Uruguayan has signed a new six-year deal, which runs until 30 June 2029. The player's clause is worth €1 billion.

This season, Valverde has played 16 matches for the creamy ones in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
