Dnipro-1 head coach Yuriy Maksymov commented on his team's 3-1 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in yesterday's match of the 14th round of the Ukrainian championship.
"We had to come back after conceding a quick goal, but then we played the way we wanted to from the start of the match, controlling the ball more and launching counterattacks. We equalised at the end of the first half and then it was easier to play.
Shakhtar usually have a rotation, they can change four players, but this time the Pitmen had only one substitution - Konoplya came on instead of Gocholeishvili. Otherwise, basically the same guys play. But they had a five-day break before the match, and the Miners had the opportunity to prepare properly. We don't win every match against Shakhtar. The guys will have an extra day off (smiles)," said Maksymov.
