Arsenal London striker Gabriel Jesus has joined the Brazilian national team to take part in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers despite suffering a hamstring injury.

The Brazilian was injured during the Champions League away match against Sevilla on 24 October. It was later reported that the forward would need at least three to four weeks to fully recover before returning to the field.
Jesus is to be examined by the national team's medical staff, after which they will make a final decision on the player's possible appearance. "The Selecao will face Colombia on 17 November, and five days later they will play world champions Argentina.
