"Union Berlin has announced on its official website the dismissal of head coach Urs Fischer.

Fischer has been working with the capital's club since the summer of 2018, when Union was still in the 2nd Bundesliga. For more than 5 years at the helm, Urs made the team a participant in European competitions, and in 2023, he led it to the group stage of the Champions League. For this, he was recognised as the Coach of the Year in Germany.
