PSG has no plans to extend Mbappe's contract

The bosses of French side Paris Saint-Germain are not going to extend the contract of the team's leader Kylian Mbappe, AS reports.

According to a source, the Qatari owners of PSG hope that Kylian Mbappe will use the option to automatically extend his contract for another year. The player's current agreement with the club runs until the summer of 2024. If the 25-year-old striker does not agree to extend his contract, then from 1 January 2024, other clubs will be able to negotiate with the player.

In the summer transfer window, PSG bosses suspended Kylian Mbappe from training with the first team because the player refused to renew his contract. Subsequently, the player compromised and verbally agreed with the club's bosses that he would not leave the team for nothing. In recent years, Real Madrid has been actively interested in Mbappe, and in the summer of 2022, the striker was one step away from joining the Bianconeri.
