Christie received a yellow card, which added to the heat of the first half. At the beginning of the second half both teams were determined to achieve a positive result. In the 47th minute Scotland made a quick substitution: instead of R. Christie and B. Gilmour came L. Ferry and B. Gilmour. L. Ferguson and K. McLean appeared instead of R. Christie and B. Gilmour respectively. The changes seemed to have an immediate impact: two minutes later S. McTominay equalised the score - 1:1. However, Georgia were not going to give up and responded with a decisive blow. On 57 minutes K. Kvaratskhelia struck again, scoring his second goal of the match and restoring Georgia's advantage. The Georgian fans exploded with joy as their team demonstrated an unstoppable attacking style.
As the match progressed, both teams made additional substitutions in search of a counter move or to shore up their defence. In the 69th minute, Georgia replaced G. Mikautadze and N. Kvekveskiri with B. Zivzivadze and A. Mekvabishvili, and in the 72nd minute L. Shengelia and I. Azarovi for G. Kochorashvili and L. Lokhoshvili. In the 79th minute G. Chakvetadze replaced Z. Davitashvili. In Scotland there were also changes: in the 79th minute G. Taylor and S. Armstrong replaced N. Patten. Armstrong replaced N. Patterson and A. Ralston. In the 86th minute, L. Dykes replaced L. Shankland, and Scotland desperately tried to equalise. In the final stage of the match the tension grew and several yellow cards were issued. In the 83rd minute G. Kochorashvili (Georgia) received a yellow card, and in the 90th minute - K. Kvaratskhelia. Scotsman S. Armstrong also received a yellow card in the 90th minute, which further increased the heat of passion in the end of the match. With seconds left to play, Scotland's L. Shankland scored a goal in the 90th minute to give his team a dramatic 2-2 draw. Despite the fact that the match ended in a draw, it was tense and very interesting. Both Georgia and Scotland demonstrated their skill and determination, and the audience will be looking forward to seeing how they will perform in future European Championship qualifying matches.
