Yegor Nazarina: "The game between Italy and North Macedonia did not solve anything for us"

Ukraine midfielder Yehor Nazarina shared his expectations for the decisive Euro 2024 qualifying match against Italy.

The Blue and Yellows continue to prepare for the clash with Italy and have already moved from Gdansk to Leverkusen, where the match will take place. Ukraine midfielder Yehor Nazarina spoke about the mood within the national team.

"We carried out recovery work. After the training session, we are heading to Germany, where we will directly prepare for the match with Italy. Everyone is in a good mood, full of energy, preparing for an important game.

Of course, we watched the Italy vs North Macedonia match. It's not so much the result that matters here as how the opposing team played. We will analyse this match, and the coaching staff will point out their strengths and weaknesses. We will prepare, hope to prove ourselves and achieve a positive result.

We are focused on our game. It is important for us to get a positive result, to win. That match, we can say, did not solve anything for us.

I also watched the match between the Ukrainian youth team and Luxembourg. Our guys did well, they won, they are moving on, so I wish them success and a first place finish at the Euros," said Yegor Nazarina.
