At the start of the second half, Serbian fans shouted that their team was dictating the pace of the game. In the 46th minute Bulgaria made their first substitution - M. Minchev came on the pitch instead of G. Rusev. However, the Bulgarian side quickly found themselves in a difficult position: in the 52nd minute S. Lukic received a yellow card. Lukic received a yellow card, which aggravated Serbia's situation. In the 59th minute Bulgaria turned the tide: G. Rusev scored a spectacular goal, causing the fans to cheer. In the 62nd minute the game took a new turn when Serbia made their first substitution, replacing D. Vlahovic with F. Djuricic.
Moments later, Bulgaria dealt another blow to Serbia's hopes when K. Despodov scored in the 69th minute, giving his team a deserved advantage. Soon after, in the 77th minute, N. Radonjić was replaced by A. Zivković. Meanwhile, Bulgaria also made three substitutions to strengthen their position on the pitch. A. Kraev, I. Chochev and A. Kolev took the field in place of I. Iliev, F. Krustev and P. Borukov respectively. And only when it seemed that Serbia's hopes had faded, S. Babic scored the decisive goal in the 82nd minute, levelling the score. The atmosphere in the stadium was heated to the max, and the fans of both countries held their breath in anticipation. Both teams continued to push for the winning goal, but time was running out. In the 85th minute Serbia made two more substitutions: A. Mitrovic replaced F. Mladenovic and F. Kostic replaced N. Maksimovic. Bulgaria also made one last substitution: K. Despodov replaced S. Kovachev. Despite all efforts, neither team was able to achieve a winning goal, and the match ended in a hard fought draw - 2:2. Serbian and Bulgarian players left the field to the applause of the fans. This exciting match demonstrated the quality of football and the intense competition seen during the European Championship qualifiers. Both teams can be proud of their performance and look forward to the next matches in the qualifiers.
