Italy midfielder Nicolo Barella told what he expects from the match of the final round of the Euro 2024 qualifying cycle against Ukraine, which will be held tomorrow in Leverkusen.
"For us, both matches of this international break - against North Macedonia and Ukraine - are equally important. Yes, a draw will suit us tomorrow, but we still have to defend the colours of our flag, so we will just win against Ukraine. But it all depends on what kind of rake we will be able to put our game on tomorrow.
Why didn't we train in Leverkusen before tomorrow's match? We're used to different pitches and stadiums, so the question of where to hold the pre-match training session has been put on the back burner. And without training here we will be fully concentrated on tomorrow's game," Barella said at the pre-match press conference in Leverkusen today.
