Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has admitted that he does not feel the fact that the Gunners paid a record £105 million for him.
"When the transfer was being finalised, I was very nervous about the price tag. It's normal to think about it. You are a man who is bought for 105 million pounds, it doesn't feel so normal. But that's because of what I did at West Ham and how highly they valued me.
Coming to Arsenal, I just thought I just need to be Declan Rice, be myself, not be someone else, and then everything will go like clockwork.
The first three weeks of pre-season were really hard because of the changes. But after a few weeks in a new job, you start to settle in. Now I feel like I've really settled in. As for the price tag, I don't think about it. I just play matches and try to play as well as I can.
To be honest, I just try to play my game. I don't let it affect me in any way. I just come to training and try to train the best I can," Rice was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
