Famous Ukrainian journalist Andriy Shakhov has commented on the draw in the Euro 2024 qualifying match between the national teams of Ukraine and Italy.
"It is a pity, of course, that we did not win. But, in my opinion, Ukraine did not win. Perhaps we should have started early to actively attack, instead of waiting for the last 20 minutes. Perhaps we should have made substitutions early, and Zinchenko was the first to be replaced. But in any case, our team looked decent, although they did not solve the problem.
Now we are waiting for junctions... Either through Pool A, where Poland and Wales are matched; Or through Pool B - Bosnia and Israel.
Of the three countries - Finland, Iceland and Ukraine - only one will get into Pool A.
Either way, the first match will be played away. But despite this, I am optimistic about the clash, and I believe that all these opponents can be beaten even away," Shakhov wrote in his Telegram channel.
