Midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk commented on the moment that occurred at the end of the Euro-2024 qualifying match between the national teams of Ukraine and Italy.

Recall that in the 90+3rd minute of the game, during Ukraine's attack, Mudryk received the ball in the Italian penalty area, crossed the ball to himself, but was knocked down by defender Cristante. Despite appeals from the players and coaching staff of the Ukraine national team, the head referee Jesus Gil Manzano did not award a penalty. Moreover, the referee did not even go to watch the video replay of the moment, although the VAR system was on the match.
