Germany's midfielder Ilkay Gundogan commented on the team's defeat in a friendly match against Austria (0:2).

Of course, it is very unpleasant to have to live with these two negative results for four months. Everyone has to do their best and prepare optimally for the March matches. We have to improve the situation - there is no other way," Gundogan said in an interview with ZDF.
It will be recalled that the German national team lost 6 out of 11 matches in 2023.
