Myron Markevych, Honoured Coach of Ukraine, commented on the results of the Euro 2024 play-off draw for the national team of Ukraine.

Firstly, in recent years, the Ukrainian national team has been playing successfully with the Balkans, in particular, the opponent in the semi-finals - Bosnia and Herzegovina - was defeated in the selection for the last World Cup. So, we will have a psychological advantage on our side. It is important that, unlike the Bosnians, Ukraine has a leader in each team.
I am convinced that there will be no problems with motivation. In recent matches against England and Italy, manager Serhii Rebrov proved that he knows how to set up his players. In those matches with the giants, Ukraine played on equal terms, while the Bosnians were lower in class, so it is not surprising that our players are considered favourites.
In the other pair, I think Israel will win, but the Ukrainians need to focus on the semi-finals for now. This chance to make it to Euro 2024 should not be missed. It is not only about the football image of Ukraine, but also about the opportunity to earn good money," Markevich said.
