Vitaliy Ponomaryov, head coach of Lviv's Rukh, spoke about the Yellow and Blacks' preparations for the match against Dynamo.
Vitaly Ponomarev- "Dynamo is one of the flagships of Ukrainian football, so the game against Kyiv is very motivating for the players. We are preparing for the match in our usual way and I think the guys will show a good performance in this match.
Dynamo has many strong players with good individual qualities. Now many people are talking about the instability of the Kyiv team, but if you look at the standings, our opponent would still be among the leaders of the championship in terms of points lost.
We will be facing a quality opponent who has recently changed their head coach, so their players will be very motivated. They will want to prove that the club made the right decision and is on the right track.
"Rukh has completed the entire planned preparation plan for the game against Kyiv. We had a good sparring session against Shakhtar, where we demonstrated quality football. Of course, we were missing players during this preparatory period, but they represented the honour of their national teams. After returning to the club's location, they will prepare for the match against Dynamo," Ponomarev was quoted as saying by Rukh's official website.
