Shakhtar Donetsk head coach Marino Pusic summarised the results of his team's yesterday's match with Zhytomyr Polesie (0-0) in round 15 of the Ukrainian league.
"We had a lot of chances, and only one team deserved to win today - it was Shakhtar. We played very well and I can't blame my players for anything except for not scoring one goal.
We create a lot of chances, but sometimes football is unfair, and today it was the case. We have to learn from these situations in the sense that we should have realised one of these four, five, six great chances that we had, so one of these opportunities should lead to a goal, then you win. In fact that's what the game is about.
One team deserved to win - Shakhtar. Unfortunately, we did not score, so we got a draw. Despite the fact that today we did not win, it did not spoil my impression of the game, because, once again, I like the way my team behaved on the pitch, especially given the circumstances: we had only one day to do something and prepare, many players, who had played and travelled a lot, returned after the international break. And the way they performed, their attitude, the effort they put into this game - it was all pretty good. Unfortunately, we didn't score a goal and played out a draw," Shakhtar's official website quoted Pusic as saying.
