Bournemouth also made a substitution: L. Kelly replaced M. Kerkez. However, Bournemouth continued to dominate and on 51 minutes they increased their lead. M. Tavernier scored again, and it made the situation even worse for Sheffield United. In the same minute L. Thomas received a yellow card, which aggravated the situation of the hosts.
In the 66th minute Bournemouth made several substitutions: A. Semenyo and L. Sinisterra replaced respectively J. Sheffield United also made a substitution: B. Osborne replaced L. Thomas. Sheffield United's discontent began to boil over: two yellow cards were given to G. Baldock and J. Robinson in the 69th and 70th minutes respectively. Bournemouth player P. Billing was also yellow carded for his part in the clash. In the 81st minute Sheffield United made two final substitutions: J. McAtee and V. Osula replaced J. Fleck and G. Hammer. Bournemouth also made a substitution, with M. Tavernier replacing D. Brooks in the 82nd minute. In the final minutes of the match, Sheffield United managed to salvage their pride when O. McBurney scored in the 90th minute. However, it was too late for the home side as Bournemouth claimed a comfortable 3-1 victory. This match demonstrated Bournemouth's dominance and high performance, and exposed the vulnerabilities in Sheffield United's defence. Despite the late consolation goal, Sheffield United must regroup and solve their problems to improve their Premier League campaign.
