In the 77th minute, Milan coach Stefano Pioli was cautioned as emotions ran high on the pitch. With minutes left in the match, both teams continued to make substitutions to seal the result. Fiorentina introduced A. Duncan and R. Sottila in the 81st minute, while Milan replaced Luka Jovic and Yunus Musa in the 83rd and 84th minutes respectively. In the final minutes of the game, the tempo increased and Milan made one last substitution, replacing Davide Calabria with A. Florenzi in the 90th minute. Fiorentina tried to get back on track with G. Bonaventura replacing K. Kouame in the 88th minute, but failed to equalise. The final whistle announced a 1-0 victory for AC Milan. Both teams showed great determination and skill throughout the match, but it was Milan who proved to be the stronger side in this encounter. This victory will give Milan confidence in their abilities and allow them to continue their fight in the fiercely competitive Serie A.
