Dynamo defender Vladyslav Dubinchak expressed his opinion on the team's 2-0 victory over Rukh in the 15th round of the Ukrainian championship on the Pro Football Digital programme.
Vladislav Dubinchak- Yes, the coach gave us instructions to press whenever it was needed at some point. When necessary, we sat back. We tried to combine and press, but not constantly, but at the right time. Sometimes we succeeded, sometimes not. I think Rukh has a good future, because the guys are only 19-20 years old, 22 at most. They are good, they have everything ahead of them.
- Who can you compare Rukh with in terms of their style of play in the league?
- They are young, they have passion. We can say that this is their first season with this team. I think they played in the U-19 a year ago, and now they play in the UPL. They want to prove that they can play at a high level. Well done to them.
- You are a wing player. Did you feel that even under Lucescu, you were required to play the traditional Dynamo way on the wings?
- Of course, because there was no result. We have been winning the last two games, and I am very happy about that. Before that, I think everyone was digging into themselves, looking for some problems, because it was no good playing the way we had been playing before. We lost points with the teams that are next to us in the standings. Now we are trying to play more coherently, from defence. So far, everything is working out.
- Did you play defensively today after scoring the first goal?
- Yes, we played by the score, more behind, in a disciplined manner. Once again, I said it after Kryvbas: we don't need beautiful football now, we need a result.
- In today's match you had a new position - right winger. Was it an experiment from the coaching staff?
- Before the game, Shovkovskyi told me that this was possible during the match. Since Kabaev hadn't played for a long time due to injury, as well as Karavaev, the head coach told me that it was possible, so I was ready for it. Basically, I knew it was possible, so it wasn't news to me.
- Did you have any experience of playing this position?
- On the right - no. On the left - I played, but in the youth teams.
- At the academy, Mykolenko played as a left-footed right winger for a while. Did you know about that?
- No, I only remember that he played centre-back and then left-back.
- Back to the topic of Mykolenko. You came from the national team. How was it?
- This is a completely different level, completely different players. I am very glad to have been in such a team. I hope it was not the last time. As for Mykolenko, you asked about him, he played a super defensive game against Italy. You can see that he has added a lot.
