Former Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu has rejected an offer from Dinamo Bucharest, which recently sacked their coach Ovidiu Burke.

According to the source, Lucescu wants to coach the Romanian national team and is waiting for an offer from the Romanian Football Federation.
This explains the fact that the coach is now either refusing offers from clubs or keeping the situation on pause.
Interestingly, just recently Lucescu categorically stated that he considers the option of working with the Romanian national team unacceptable for him. "It's not normal! It makes no sense for the Romanian national team to be coached by me. I am soon to be 79 years old. A new generation of coaches has grown up in Romania," the coach said.
We will add that the Romanian national team won a ticket to the final part of Euro-2024. At the moment, the head coach of this national team is a young coach, 45-year-old Eduard Iordanescu.
