Forward of Zhytomyr's Polissia Pylyp Budkivskyy summed up his team's performance in the first round of the current Ukrainian championship. After 15 rounds of the UPL, the debutant of the elite division ranks third in the standings, lagging behind the leading Dnipro-1 by only three points.
"We did not expect to be so high up. But we have been in the leading group since the beginning of the season. We saw and understood that we could play at the level of the leaders. We fought and scored points.
But the interim results are not so important anymore, it is important where we finish the championship.
My goal against Dynamo came when I was on the pitch with a fracture. It was the first time in my life. This is a story. I will have something to tell my children in my old age. Everything turned out well, I healed the injury," Ukrainian Football quotes Budkivsky as saying.
