In the match of the 5th round of the Europa League group stage, Liverpool defeated LASK Austria at home. This victory allowed the Reds to repeat the club's record of 38 years ago.

The victory over LASC was the Reds' 10th win in 10 opening home matches. Prior to that, the Merseysiders had a similar streak in the 1893/94 season (16 wins), then in the 1972/73 season (11 wins) and in 1985/86 (13 wins).
We would like to add that after 5 rounds of the group stage, Liverpool is solely at the top of the standings. In addition, the Merseysiders have guaranteed themselves first place in the group and thus automatically qualify for the last 16 of the Europa League.
