Reims responded with their own substitutions, releasing T. Teuma and K. Nakamura in the 78th minute to strengthen the attack. As time ran out, Reims made their last substitution in the 85th minute, releasing J. Ito and R. Khadra. Strasbourg also made a late substitution, with A. Richardson replaced A. Koné in the 90th minute. However, towards the end of the game, the tension in the game increased: T. De Smet received a yellow card for Reims, while A. Sylla received a yellow card for Strasbourg. Despite their best efforts, Strasbourg failed to equalise in the final minutes of the match and Reims won 2-1. The match showed the competitive spirit of both teams, and Reims' strong first half performance ensured that they won this exciting Ligue 1 encounter.
