Reports in the media that the first league FC "Niva" (Buzovaya) may stop functioning had considerable publicity. PFL president Oleksandr Kadenko commented on the situation with Buzovaya Niva:
Alexander Kadenko- "I had a conversation with the president of this club, Oktay Efendiev, who informed about his intention to suspend the financing of Niva. According to my information, there are several reasons for this. We agreed to concentrate until 7 December on finding ways that would allow the players of "Niva", at least, to play the current season to the end. If we fail to find a new investor in the next few days, or if our proposed options for salvation do not suit Efendiev, then FC Niva (Buzovaya) must officially announce its withdrawal from the Ukrainian premier league championship, and the Central Council of the PFL at its meeting must approve this decision.
According to the Regulations, in the "champion" group instead of Bukovyna, which took the next place in the standings after the first stage in the group from which Niva withdrew. Then nine clubs will play in the "elimination" group. And not three, but two outsiders will be directly relegated. However, all these decisions must be approved by the PFL Central Committee. Still, we hope that Buzov's Niva will stay afloat," Kadenko said.
