In the last days of the year, Komanda1 will name the best player of the Ukrainian championship according to the players and coaches themselves.
Since 1995, the Komanda newspaper has been holding a referendum to determine the best footballer playing in the Ukrainian national championship. After this reputable newspaper ceased to exist, the website's editorial team decided to continue the tradition of conducting the poll, which is distinguished by the fact that it involves people directly related to football. What could be nicer than being recognised by colleagues who have first-hand knowledge of the peculiarities of football production? By the way, this referendum is already the 29th in a row - there are no such long-lasting and systematic campaigns in Ukrainian football...
Rules of the survey
15 players and one coach from each UPL team name the three best players of the year. Three points are awarded for first place, two for second, and one for third.
Over the years, 20 players have won our referendum. The record holders in terms of the number of victories are Serhii Rebrov, Valentyn Belkevych and Marlos, who were recognised as the winners of the year three times each. Midfielders won 18 times, strikers - nine times, defenders - never, and Andriy Pyatov was the only goalkeeper to win the sympathy of his colleagues and coaches. Dynamo have won 12 times, Shakhtar nine times, Dnipro four times, Dnipro-1 twice and Metalist once.
The current winner of our poll is striker Artem Dovbyk (the current player of Spanish side Girona has won two years in a row). We will find out who will win this time closer to the New Year.
