Shakhtar defender Valeriy Bondar commented on the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to allow Russians and Belarusians to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris under a neutral flag.

UEFA did not allow Russians to participate in its competitions. Did football lose because of this? Not at all. We must do everything to prevent the 404 country from participating in competitions such as the Olympic Games.
I would like to wish them success and support our athletes who will go to the Games, even if the so-called neutral athletes will compete there," Bondar said.
