Head coach of Zhytomyr's Polissya Yurii Kalytyntsev spoke about the club's transfer objectives for the winter off-season.
- We are constantly in an active search. This is a work process. About the positions: if we see a player who is stronger than the player in our team, we have a professional approach. Of course, we care about the person, but this is a tough and professional sport. Therefore, we are not looking for specific positions, it can be any position. We are active, we are watching, the team is in a constant process. But we are not going to create artificial competition. Competition for the sake of competition is not an option. If you analyse the previous transfers, you will see that all those who came were really strong.
It would be nice to develop young players. This is a round-the-clock process and we are not standing still. But no one will hire for pretty eyes and good behaviour. In addition to all this, we are interested in qualities, and one of the most important is whether a person wants to play in this team and achieve success. Or does he just want to come, get some money in his pocket and leave. No, we are not interested in such people. We are interested in players with whom we can go further and further and further. We are interested in the soul of the team," Kalitvintsev said.
