A new anti-record of the Ukrainian championship for the number of red cards per calendar year has been set

The football year in Ukraine ends with the renewal of the anti-record of the national championship of Ukraine on the number of penalties.

In the first part of the current championship referees took out of their pockets 50 times red cards, and in the second part of the last championship another 35 penalties were recorded. Thus, the total number of red cards shown in the matches of the Ukrainian championship in 2023 is 85, which was an update of the previous anti-record, according to the official website of the UPL.
