According to the source, the leadership of Lyon, which is unsuccessful this season in the French championship, decided to suspend negotiations with Lucescu. The reason - the bosses of the French club want to give a chance to Pierre Saget, the acting mentor.

Saget previously worked in Lyon's academy, but after the sacking of Fabio Grosso, took over the team, having already managed to win two games in a row. It is expected that Saget will continue to work with the team until at least the beginning of 2024.

A few weeks earlier, Lucescu decided to resign as Dinamo head coach.
