Real Madrid defender David Alaba was injured in the 4-1 win over Villarreal in the 17th round of La Liga.

Following a medical examination, the 31-year-old defender was diagnosed with a torn cruciate ligament in his left knee, according to the official website of the Creamers. Alaba will undergo surgery in the near future.
