The executive committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU) has abandoned the idea of moving to the Asian Football Confederation. This is reported by the Russian propaganda publication Sport-Express.
It is reported that all members of the executive committee considered that the transition to Asia without guarantees from FIFA, does not make sense. The RFU wants to continue efforts to return to international competitions under the auspices of UEFA.
