Former Dnipro right-back Samuel Incum, who played for the team from 2011 to 2014, told a story about allegedly facing racism in Ukraine.
"As for me, in any country wherever I go, I think not everything has gone smoothly for me because I'm not white, so I don't even pay too much attention to it. I remember one of our games in Ukraine against Shakhtar Donetsk, there was a lot of stuff going on, there was a banana, I didn't even pay attention to it. They were throwing bananas and stuff on the pitch, they think blacks are monkeys, but I didn't even give a hoot not to react to these provocations. I don't feel anything, I am proud to be black," Inkoum was quoted by Pulse Ghana quoting Starr FM as saying.
