The former AC Milan head coach criticised the Rossoneri after the match of the 17th round of the Italian championship against Salernitana (2:2).
"Milan has no team. In Salerno, there was no collective idea, but a group of players scattered all over the field. Everyone was doing their own thing. The defence had difficulties because the strikers did not help. This is a real problem.
I don't think the problem can be solved by getting rid of the coach. Pioli did great things, but he failed to establish a generational change. But I have to say that I don't know if there is anyone around who could provide continuity in this team.
We have to understand that it can be difficult for young guys who come from abroad to settle in right away. Even great champions had difficulties in the beginning. If you are building a completely new team based on foreigners, you need to be patient. But patience is a rare thing in football, as you know," La Gazzetta dello Sport quoted Sacchi as saying.
