Italian Napoli have set their sights on acquiring Shakhtar Donetsk defender Mykola Matvienko, Calcio Now reports.

According to the publication, the heads of the selection department of the Neapolitan club have approved the candidacy of the 27-year-old player as the main option to strengthen the defensive line of the team.

It is also reported that Napoli want to finalise Matvienko's transfer this winter and are ready to pay €30m for such a move.
