FIFA does not plan to invite Catalan club Barcelona to take part in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States in an expanded format.
According to Sport.es, two places in the tournament were allocated for Spanish representatives. Real Madrid has already received an invitation as the winner of the Champions League in 2021/2022.
FIFA will not invite Barcelona to the tournament due to tensions between the organisation and the Blaugrana. The reason for the bad relations could be the Super League project supported by Barcelona.
It will be recalled that the updated version of the Club World Cup will feature 32 participants.
